General Terms:
  • The Prequalifying matches for the Padel Competition shall be held at 4th week of March, and the knockout contest shall be held in Ramadan during the period from 2 - 17/04/2022.
  • The participant shall be medically fit on his/her own responsibility.
  • The Technical Committee of the Competition may take all decisions and actions that will regulate the Competition according to the desired way, including amendments to the matches’ schedule.
Special Terms:
  • The match is the best of 3 sets, with tie-break at 6-6 in games, unless stated by the tournament organizers.
  • The Competition will be a knockout format for UAEPA Categories.
  • All players shall be committed to attend the qualifying for the Competition, which shall be held in March.
  • Commitment to wearing appropriate footwear during the competition.
  • Reference shall be made to regulations of the UAE Padel Federation and international regulations in organizing this competition in exception with what is included herein.
Competition Categories:
  • GCC Team/Men’s: GCC Teams are nominated by the official Padel federations/committee in their countries.
  • UAEPA Tournaments:
    • A) UAEPA Beginner/Men: All UAE Nationals and residents below 50 top UAEPA ranking.
    • B) UAEPA Intermediate/Men: All UAE Nationals and residents below 25 top UAEPA ranking.
    • C) UAEPA Advance/Men: All UAE Nationals and residents at advance level.
    • D) UAEPA PRO/Men: Open for all national and international professional (No Visa requirement).
    • E) Double/Men: The team must consist of an Emirati player and an Expat player (resident).
    • F) UAEPA Intermediate/Women: All UAE Nationals and residents female below 25 top UAEPA ranking.
Competition System:
  • GCC Categories/Men:
    • The qualifying phase: will be a group format, the first and the second of each group will qualify to the main draw, held during Ramadan.
    • The Final phase: will be a knockout format.
  • UAEPA TOURNEMANTS
    • The qualifying phase:
      • will be a knockout format, with 16 pairs that qualify to the Final phase, held during Ramadan.
      • will be held in the period from 25 – 31 /03/2022.
    • The Final phase:
      • will be a knockout format.
      • will be held during Ramadan in the period from 2 – 17 /04/2022.
Location and Timing of the competition:
  • The matches shall be held in NAS Sports Complex.
  • The competition in Ramadan shall be announced in a detailed schedule.
  • The players shall be responsible for checking the date and timing of their games through the website and publications in Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.
  • The players shall register 15 minutes before the game begins, if the player is 15 minutes late or more, the match will be considered forfeit and the player will lose.
Results and Awards:
  • Participants in UAEPA tournaments categories will award ranking points as per described at official UAEPA website.
  • The first three players shall be awarded (gold, silver, and bronze) medals in all categories.
  • Cash prizes (in AED) shall be awarded to the first three categories as shown in the table below.

Registration:
  • Registration opens on 22/02/2022 to 10/03/2022.
  • All Participants must take (PCR) test of COVID-19 and submit proof of a negative result to the organizing committee before the match. The result of test is valid for (48) hours starting from the issuing date.
  • All Participants must bring their original Emirates ID (for Expats the residence VISA must have been issued before 1/1/2022),
  • Participants shall not be allowed to change the category of the competition after the deadline.
  • Registration will be closed when the permitted number in each category is completed.
  • All participants shall sign a statement of health and physical fitness and shall agree to the conditions of participation and respect to the regulations of the Competition.

Complaints:
  • Complaints shall be submitted in written to the Chairman of the Referees Committee no later than 15 minutes after the end of the match and according to the prescribed form.
  • Complaints shall not be accepted unless they are presented with an amount of AED (300) which shall be refunded in case of acceptance of the Complaint and shall be submitted to the Organizing Committee in case of rejection.
  • The Technical Committee alone shall be entitled to interpret and explain the regulations and laws and take the appropriate decisions, and in all cases, these decisions shall be final.
